Thomas Mwathe Waithira
Thomas' mother abandoned him after a disagreement with her husband, who was Thomas' stepfather. The stepfather did not want Thomas and when he decided to remarry he chased Thomas off. He was living on the streets when he sought help from the village elder who took him to the Children's Officer. He was referred to Tumaini Children's Home where he now has a safe place to stay and the opportunity for an education.
