Stephen is an only child. His mother passed only four months after his birth. He was left with an elderly grandmother who has since become too ill to care for him. He was passed to aunt who struggled to provide for him and she was later hospitalized for mental health issues. At Tumaini, he is finally in a more stable environment where he can attend school and has the company of many children.
